Camino Walk

From elite athlete to being crippled by arthritis - it has been a long journey to recovery.
I would love for you to be part of my next journey.

Clementine ProfileWho I am and what I am doing

Hi my name is Clementine Marshall and I am 26 years old. Born and bred in Wellington, I now reside in Christchurch where I work in advertising and am an exhibiting artist. This May I am going to embark on an 950km (5 week) pilgrimage walk in the North of Spain called The Camino de Santiago. This walk is a big challenge for me, as just over two years ago I was diagnosed with Reactive Arthritis. It was so severe that I was forced to give up rowing for the New Zealand rowing team.

Why I am doing this walk?

I am doing this walk to raise funds for Arthritis New Zealand, and also to create awareness about arthritis. Arthritis is the most common physical disability in New Zealand. It is a misconception that arthritis only effects the older generation. There are over 140 types of arthritis and it can affect any one at any time.
